Healthy Illinois 2028 Public Hearing

The State Board of Health, in conjunction with IDPH, is holding 3 public hearings on the State Health Assessment and State Health Improvement Plan, which are two components of the Healthy Illinois 2028 initiative.

Participants in public hearings will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the state of health in Illinois, and proposed health improvement plans related to the five priorities:

  • Chronic Disease
  • COVID-19 and Emerging Diseases
  • Maternal and Infant Health
  • Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder
  • Racism as a Public Health Crisis

The public hearings occur:

  • Tuesday, November 28, 2023, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 29, 2023, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 30, 2023, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Community members are encouraged to provide written comments by November 30, 2023 at 5 p.m. CT
