COVID-19 Pediatric Vaccine Social Media Toolkit
This toolkit is a joint creation from the Illinois American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to provide credible, informative, and diverse social media messaging to promote COVID-19 vaccination for children 5 years of age and older. As the holiday season approaches its imperative that as many as possible receive a vaccine so that they can safely gather with friends and family.
Sample Social Media Messages
Here are some sample messages that can be used for social media.
- Thanksgiving is a time for family, good food, and gratitude. What are you thankful for this holiday season? Express gratitude for your health and the health of your family and friends by getting vaccinated against COVID-19 and the flu!
- Have a happy and safe Hannukah. While gathering with friends and family take precautions to protect unvaccinated people by wearing a mask indoors and social distancing.
- Holiday traditions are important for families and children. There are several ways to enjoy holiday traditions and protect your health. Because many generations tend to gather to celebrate holidays, the best way to minimize COVID-19 risk and keep your family and friends safer is to get vaccinated.
- By working together and getting children 5 and older vaccinated before the holidays all can enjoy safer gathering and travel with family. To find a vaccination location near you visit vaccines.gov or text your zip code to 438829.
