IDPH to Offer Information, Services, Giveaways at Du Quoin State Fair
Look for IDPH at the fair, which runs August 22 – September 1
SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) will offer plenty of public health information and services, along with some giveaways, in its tent at the Du Quoin State Fair. The fair runs August 22-September 1, 2025.
“The Du Quoin State Fair is always a wonderful experience for Illinoisans,” said IDPH Director Dr. Sameer Vohra. “As you enjoy the food and fun, please stop by the IDPH tent to find helpful items and learn valuable information to keep you and your loved ones safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing you at the Fair!”
IDPH staffers will be on hand each day of the fair at the IDPH tent on Grandstand Avenue, just across from the Grandstand. The tent will be manned from noon to 6pm weekdays and 10am to 6pm on weekends during the fair.

You will also find information on accessing vital records, like birth and death certificates, along with other educational materials. IDPH will also have a number of giveaways during the run of the fair, while supplies last. They include: naloxone kits, COVID-19 test kits, gun locks and safe storage information, first aid cases, pillboxes, hand sanitizer, bag clips, cooling packs, sunscreen with clips, and more.
