30 Days of Public Health is a month-long initiative designed to raise awareness about the purpose of public health departments and how they serve communities, the profession and its many career options, and the employees who dedicate their time and energy to serving the people of Illinois through IDPH.

“Pause to Heal,” a Firearms Restraining Order Campaign

"Pause to Heal” is a partnership by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Brady: United Against Gun Violence, and the Ad Council.

The awareness campaign was launched April 2, 2024 and shares information about FROs, a tool that can pause a potentially deadly situation and give someone the time they need to heal.

Soil Testing for Springfield Area Residents

A  free soil testing service is available for Springfield area residents on Saturday, May 11, 2024 that will test soil samples for the presence of lead and provide assistance in handling the health threat.
