Governor Pritzker holds daily press briefing on COVID-19

Springfield, Ill. - Governor Pritzker announces that Region 9 – Lake and McHenry counties – has sustained an average positivity rate of 8% or higher for three days. Therefore, starting Saturday, they will join 7 of the 11 other Regions in operating under resurgence mitigations. The Governor warns that in Region 9, average COVID-19-related hospital admissions are five times as high as they were in mid-June.
