    SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today reported four counties in Illinois are considered to be at a warning level for novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  A county enters a warning level when two or more COVID-19 risk indicators that measure the amount of COVID-19 increase.

    Four counties are currently reported at a warning level – Adams, LaSalle, Peoria, and Randolph. 

    These counties saw outbreaks associated with business and risky behavior, including:

    Adams County:  larger social events, health care exposure, travel to hotspots including those in neighboring Missouri and Iowa, places of worship, and youth sports.

    SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today announced 1,532 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 19 additional confirmed deaths.

    • Cook County: 1 female 60s, 3 females 70s, 1 male 70s, 4 females 80s, 4 females 90s
    • DuPage County: 3 females 90s, 1 female 100+
    • Winnebago County: 1 female 60s, 1 female 90s

    Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 168,457 cases, including 7,385 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois.     SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health is closely monitoring a rise in cases in the Metro East region, COVID-19 region 4, as the region surpasses 7 percent positivity rate as of today, July 20, fueled by 7 consecutive days of positivity rate increases. Under the plan to combat a resurgence of COVID-19 announced by Governor Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Public Health last week, a region will automatically move to the first tier of mitigation steps following three consecutive days averaging greater than an 8 percent positivity rate.

    SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today announced 1,384 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 22 additional confirmed deaths.

    Community based and mobile testing sites have increased access to COVID-19 testing throughout the state, resulting in over 40,000 specimens tested for the second consecutive day.
