    MT. VERNON – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is setting up a mobile COVID-19 testing site at the Aquatic Zoo in Mt. Vernon, Illinois beginning Monday, October 26, 2020 and running through November 8, 2020. Anyone can be tested, regardless of symptoms or immigration status.  There is no cost to the individual for testing, but they should bring their insurance card if they have one.  However, insurance is not required.  Specimens will be collected using a simple nasal swab.

    Number of counties increases from 26 last week

    SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today reported 34 counties in Illinois are considered to be at a warning level for novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  A county enters a warning level when two or more COVID-19 risk indicators that measure the amount of COVID-19 increase.

    Thirty-four counties are currently reported at a warning level – Adams, Alexander, Boone, Cass, Christian, Clay, Clinton, Crawford, DeKalb, DeWitt, Jasper, Jefferson, Jo Daviess, Johnson, Kane, Lee, Macon, McDonough, McHenry Mercer, Monroe, Pike, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Stephenson, Union, Vermilion, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Whiteside, Will, Winnebago.
